Traffic accidents reduces in all 3 criteria in the first 5 months of the year

to the Provincial Statistics Office, there were 20 traffic accidents occurred (no
railway cases) in May in the province, reduced 5 cases compared to the previous
month and 6 cases compared to the same period in 2021. Accumulation for the
first 5 month of the year, the province had 107 cases (including 03 railway
cases), decreased 27 cases compared to the same period in 2021.
In the month, traffic
accidents injured 11 people, 01 person less than the previous month and 5
people compared to the same period in 2021; causing 15 deaths, 03 deaths less
than the previous month, and increased 01 person compared to the same period in
2021. Accumulation for the first 5 months of the year, the whole province had
55 injures (including 01 person in railway cases), reduced 23 people compared
to the same period in 2021; There were 76 deaths (of which 02 people from
railway cases), 13 deaths less than the same period last year.
During the month, the
inspection, control and strict handling of vehicles have been seriously carried
out so there were no jams nor prolonged traffic jams on roads and at BOT tolls,
especially no serious traffic accidents. According to the assessment of the
authorities, most of the traffic accidents occurred because the motorcyclists
did not comply the law provisions on traffic order and safety.
