Training on Rural Tourism Program Design

From October 28 to October 31, 2024, the Institute for Public Policy under the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with the Rural
Development Sub-Department under the Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development, organized a training course on rural tourism program design, aimed
at introducing and promoting rural tourism in Bình Thuận Province. The training
course was attended by Master Đoàn Ngọc Trung, lecturer at the Institute for
Public Policy under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders
of the Rural Development Sub-Department; officials responsible for new rural
development at the provincial, district, and commune levels; and rural tourism
cooperatives and cooperative groups in the province.
At the training
course, Master Đoàn Ngọc Trung, a lecturer at the Institute for Public Policy
under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, provided participants
with knowledge related to rural tourism program design, including concepts of
tourism routes, tours, destinations, and tourism programs…; additionally,
introducing rural tourism products and programs designed to attract tourists.
Master Đoàn Ngọc Trung also emphasized the role and strategies of media in
promoting rural tourism, highlighting various promotional channels and the
application of digital transformation platforms for showcasing and marketing
rural tourism. This activity aims to boost tourism product consumption and
create opportunities for tourism products to reach customers more precisely,
helping tourism businesses build and protect their brand image and tourism
products in the minds of consumers.
Since early 2024,
the Rural Development Sub-Department has collaborated with the Institute for
Public Policy under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to conduct
three training sessions on tourism development within the framework of new
rural development. These sessions align with the Provincial People’s
Committee’s Rural Tourism Development Plan in New Rural Development for the
2021–2025 period. Through these training sessions, participants gained
additional knowledge on selecting appropriate rural tourism models, community-based
tourism, and planning for rural tourism business.
