In 2022, despite many
difficulties and challenges, the entire province's Culture, Sports and Tourism
sector has made efforts to organize activities and achieved certain results,
contributing to the overall development of the provincial socio-economy.
Accordingly,
in the field of Culture, it has agreed to vote 10 outstanding events and
achievements in 2022. Specifically, in the context of the complicated
development of Covid-19 during the Lunar New Year 2022, the Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism actively and flexibly changed its direction to the
form of recording and broadcasting cultural, artistic and sports activities on
Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station, district radio stations and social
network platforms in order to partly meet the needs of people and tourists.
In addition,
the sector coordinated to successfully organize the 30th Anniversary
of the re-establishment of the province (1992-2022) with many practical
activities: Photo exhibition with the theme: "Binh Thuan heritage -
achievements and development”, “Binh Thuan development prospects”, “Binh Thuan:
Potentials, achievements and development prospects” at Ho Chi Minh Museum – Binh
Thuan Branch, the Provincial Convention Center, Centara Resort; successfully
organized the Cultural and Sports Festival of Binh Thuan Ethnic Minorities 2022
taking place from August 19-21, 2022; The opening ceremony of the 9th
Binh Thuan Provincial Sports Festival 2022 …
In 2022, the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has included the Thay Thim Palace Festival
and the Kate Festival of Cham people in Binh Thuan province into the List of
National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is an important milestone,
contributing to tourism development and promoting the province's economy,
culture and society, raising the awareness of preserving and promoting the community's
traditional culture, enriching the cultural heritage of Binh Thuan in
particular and of Vietnam in general.
After that, the sector completed and put into operation the relic
area of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's base during the resistance war
against the US. This will be a new and attractive place for tourists; at the
same time, contributing to preserving, restoring, and promoting the value of
historical-revolutionary relics and educating the tradition of heroic and
indomitable revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee, army and people of
Binh Thuan province for current and future generations.
Several remaining
typical events in 2022 have been announced by the cultural sector such as:
Successfully organizing the Cultural and Sports Festival of Binh Thuan Ethnic
Minorities 2022; Participating in regional and national cultural activities;
Conferring People's Artists, Excellent Artists; Organizing cultural and
artistic activities to serve the needs of the people; Completing the work of
expanding and putting into operation the Provincial Library; Pottery art of the
Cham people is listed by UNESCO on the list of intangible cultural heritage in
need of urgent protection.
