Urgently resolving accident compensation for 10 burned fishing boats in Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city

On the afternoon of December 7, 2023, at Phan Thiet Shipbuilding and Repair
Company Limited at Quarter 2, Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet City, a fire occurred
during the repair of fishing boats. Although the authorities were actively
fighting the fire, due to the wooden hull of the fishing boats and the strong
Northeast monsoon, the fire caused serious damage to the properties of
fishermen. Initial statistics at the scene showed that 10 large-capacity
fishing boats in the province were burned, causing a great property damage.
In order to help
fishermen who suffered losses after the fire soon to stabilize their lives and
restore production, especially in the upcoming Lunar New Year 2024, the
People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has requested Binh Thuan Insurance
Company and Bao Minh Company – Binh Thuan branch to urgently approach the case,
grasp information on the damage situation of fishing boats to guide the
preparation of necessary documents and procedures to quickly expedite the
settlement of compensation for fishermen whose fishing boats were involved in the
above accidents.
