Warning of flash floods and local waterlogs in La Nga river basin

(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Provincial Hydro-Meteorological Station has just warned of flash floods and landslides in rivers and streams in Binh Thuan province.

 

According to the Provincial Hydro-Meteorological Station, in the past 6 hours in the area of Tanh Linh district, Duc Linh district, Ham Thuan Nam district, Ham Thuan Bac district, Ham Tan district, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, there has been rain, some places with moderate rain, heavy rain. Rainfall was measured from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 8, 2023 at Mang To: 80mm, La Ngau: 67mm, Ta Pao: 61.9mm, Duc Hanh: 58.6mm, Bac Ruong: 45mm, My Thanh: 43.2mm, Dong Giang: 41.1mm, Phan Lam: 33.7mm, Song Mao: 31mm, Vo Xu: 25.7mm, T-junction km46: 42.1mm.

 

Rain warning in the next 3 - 6 hours, in the area of Binh Thuan province continues to have moderate rain, some places with heavy rain. Due to the influence of heavy rain, there is a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and slopes; flash floods, local waterlogs in the area along rivers and streams in the La Nga river basin.

 

Areas with high risk of flash floods and landslides include: Mang To commune, La Ngau commune, Dong Kho commune, Duc Tan commune (Tanh Linh); Duc Hanh commune, Tan Ha commune (Duc Linh). Areas at risk of flash floods and landslides: Dong Giang commune (Ham Thuan Bac); My Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam); Tan Nghia town, Tan Xuan commune (Ham Tan). Disaster risk level due to flash floods and landslides is at Level 1.
