Warning of strong winds and high waves in the sea of Binh Thuan province

According to Binh Thuan Hydrometeorological Station, at 13:00 on 06/10, the
center of the tropical depression is at about 14.8 degree north latitude; 114.2
degree East longitude, about 330 km from Hoang Sa archipelago on the southeast.
The strongest wind in the area near the center of the tropical depression is at
level 6 (40 - 50 km/h), gusts approaching level 8. The radius is about 80 km from
the center of the tropical depression, with the wind at level 6, gusts
approaching level 8.
It is forecasted that
in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move mainly to the west -
northwest direction, traveling about 15 - 20km per hour and likely stronger. At
13:00 on 07/10, the location of the tropical depression’s center is at about
15.9 degree North latitude; 110.2 degree East longitude, on the west of Hoang
Sa Archipelago. The strongest wind in the area near the tropical depression’
center is at level 7 (50-60km/h), gusts approaching level 9.
The danger zone on
the East Sea in the next 24 hours, the wind is at level 6 and above, gusts
approaching level 8 and above at area from 14.0 to 18.0 degree North latitude; from
109.0 to 115.5 degree East longitude. All vessels operating in the danger zone
are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and high waves. Disaster
risk alert: level 3.
Due to the influence
of the tropical convergence zone axially through the Central region connected
with the tropical depression in the East Sea, from tonight (06/10), the area
off the coast of Binh Thuan (including Phu Quy island district) has showers and
thunderstorms, southwest winds at level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts approaching
level 7, rough seas. The average wave height is 2.0 - 3.0 m. In the coastal
areas, the southwest wind is at level 4 - 5. The wave height along the coast
ranges from 1.0 - 2.0 m. Disaster risk alert due to strong winds at sea: level
