(binhthuan.gov.vn) The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a forecast warning of strong winds, large waves, and thunderstorms at sea.

 

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau (including Binh Thuan), and in the central and southern parts of the East Sea (including the waters around the Spratly Islands), there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Forecast for the day and night of December 3: The eastern part of the northern East Sea will experience northeast winds of level 5, occasionally reaching level 6, with gusts of 7-8; by night, the winds will strengthen to level 6, with gusts of up to level 8; the sea will be rough, with waves reaching 2.0-4.0 meters. The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau will have northeast winds of level 5, occasionally reaching level 6, with gusts of 7-8; the sea will be rough, with waves reaching 2.0-3.5 meters. Additionally, on December 3, both day and night, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the central and southern East Sea (including the waters around the Spratly Islands), from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang, and in the Gulf of Thailand. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes and strong winds with gusts reaching 7-8.

 

The warning for the day and night of December 4 indicates that the eastern part of the northern East Sea will continue to experience strong northeast winds at level 6, with gusts of up to level 8, waves will reach 2.0-4.0 meters, and the sea will be rough. The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau will have strong northeast winds at level 5, occasionally reaching level 6, with gusts of 7-8; waves will be 2.0-3.5 meters high, and the sea will be rough. The risk level for natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2. All vessels operating in these areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds, and high waves.
