Water regulation through Long Song Lake spillway

Water Resources Exploitation Limited Company as just sent a dispatch to announce
the water regulation through Long Song lake spillway, Tuy Phong district.
According to the dispatch,
in the past 2 days, the upstream area of Long Song Lake has had heavy rain. As
of 7:00 am on August 2, 2022, the water level of Long Song reservoir reached
75.88m, increased 3.3m compared to July 31, 2022, higher than the water level
according to the reservoir operation process. According to the forecast of the
National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, it will rain last long in
the coming days.
In order to ensure
the safety of the construction, and at the same time reduce flooding for the
downstream area when floods occur, Binhthuan Water Resources Exploitation
Limited Company will regulate the water through the spillway of Long Song Lake.
Time at 13:00 on August 2, 2022 with a flow of 20 m3/s; after 16:00 on August
2, 2022 depending on the intake flow, it will increase from 30 -:- 200 m3/s.
For avoiding property
damage to the people in the affected areas, Binhthuan Water Resources
Exploitation Limited Company has requested the Tuy Phong District People's
Committee to promptly notify localities and people along the flood discharge
route and estuary of Long Song River to know and proactively taking safety plan.
